NODOVA was born in 2011 from the desire to design fashionable jewellery highlighting a plant material forgotten by all: the tagua, a seed from the Amazon rainforest with the appearance of ivory.
Following the meeting with Kishwa women from northern Ecuador, the project materialises: to design, in collaboration with them, fine and colorful jewellery, to allow them to be properly remunerated while funding scholarships for children from their village.
All tagua pieces are hand cut in Ecuador, then handcrafted at home in Perigord, France, with noble and resistant materials (sterling silver, gold-plated).
At NODOVA, we want to prove that we can wear fine and chic creations that allow, on our scale, to help women and children in difficulty elsewhere in the world. Thank you to all those who show us every day that this is possible!
